Finance & Wealth Management
Incoming full-time Wealth Management Analyst at Morgan Stanley and Richard B. Fisher Scholar — building expertise on Wall Street with a clear plan to bring it home to El Paso and help the Hispanic community build real, lasting financial futures.
About
I'm Cassandra Vazquez, a finance student at UTEP graduating May 2026 with a BBA in Finance and a minor in Information Systems. I grew up in El Paso — and I plan to come back.
This July I'm joining Morgan Stanley in New York City as a Wealth Management Analyst — a two-year rotational program at one of the most respected names in finance, where I'll build deep expertise across client portfolio strategy, investment products, and wealth advisory.
After Wall Street, I'm coming home. My long-term plan is to build a business in El Paso rooted in the community I grew up in — helping the Hispanic and Mexican community close the financial literacy gap and start building real, generational wealth.
Past Projects
A few highlights that show what I've built, analyzed, and presented — across capital markets, strategic finance, and research.
Placed on the Private Banking Desk Strategist team, contributing to initiatives aligning banking solutions with wealth management strategies. Designed and presented a lending balance projection for the E*TRADE Margin Lending product, performing analysis on an internal production platform to support capital planning.
Collaborated with fellow interns on a group project to increase financial advisor adoption of banking products. Developed and presented a strategic proposal to senior leaders aimed at strengthening integration between advisory practices and banking solutions.
Evaluated host incentive programs and benchmarked against competitors to develop recommendations for host retention and acquisition without compromising platform ROI. Presented capstone findings to Airbnb directors.
Analyzed market conditions and performance across five asset class rotations — equity, fixed income, high-yield, direct lending, and strategic advising. Delivered clean summaries and decision-focused metrics to senior analysts.
Collaborated with the FP&A team on budget forecasts for ongoing strategic projects. Developed fluency in end-to-end forecasting workflows inside a fast-moving, data-driven tech environment.
Served as Fundraising Director for ALPFA, connecting Latino students with finance and business career pathways through professional panels, networking events, and mentorship initiatives.
Developed and led career development workshops over three years, advising hundreds of students on internship strategy and professional positioning — individually and in group settings.
What I'm Building Right Now
Outside of my role at Morgan Stanley, I'm intentionally building the skill set that will one day power my own business — execution-ready, not just analysis-ready.
Actively acquiring FINRA licenses to build the regulatory foundation for a full-service wealth management practice.
I care about outputs that are simple, defensible, and easy for stakeholders to act on.
